How do I verify a domain in Admin?
An Account owner can verify domain ownership in Account → Domains by publishing a DNS TXT record. You also need access to the domain's DNS provider. Verification registers ownership with the selected Account.
- Open Admin and confirm the Account.
- Open Account → Domains and select Add domain.
- Enter the domain, such as
example.com, then select Start verification. - Under Verification record, copy the Type, Name, and Value into your DNS provider.
- After the record is available in public DNS, reopen the domain and select Verify DNS.
- Confirm Verified status and a verification date.
Use the complete record values that Admin provides. The record name begins with _socra-challenge. and the value begins with socra-verification=. Do not substitute a token from another domain.
If verification fails, compare the published TXT record with Admin's name and value. DNS changes can take time to appear through public resolvers. After correcting the record, return to Account → Domains, reopen the domain, and try Verify DNS again.
A verified domain establishes DNS ownership. Serving an application on a hostname also requires the appropriate Cloud hostname and routing setup.
Deleting a Domain removes its Account registration. The service refuses deletion while claimed hostnames still depend on it. Resolve those claims before trying to delete the Domain.
