How do I download my Drive files before leaving?

These commands require the Drive CLI and an authorized session in the intended Socra Account.

Download the files you need while your Account identity still has access to the Drive. Reader access is enough to download content and older versions. Removing your access does not remove copies you already saved elsewhere.

List the Drives and folders you can read:

socra drive list
socra drive ls DRIVE_ID /Notes

Replace DRIVE_ID and /Notes with the intended Drive and folder. These lists can be paginated. If has_more is true, continue with --after and the final returned ID so you do not miss entries.

Download each required file to a new local path:

socra drive download DRIVE_ID /Notes/notes.txt ./saved-notes.txt

The command verifies the content checksum and refuses to overwrite an existing local file. Open the saved copy to confirm that you have the expected content before ending access.

The default download contains the current content. To keep earlier content, list the file's versions and download each version you need:

socra drive file versions FILE_ID
socra drive file download FILE_ID ./older-notes.txt --version VERSION_ID

A content download does not preserve a Drive's grants, folders, or complete version history automatically. Keep track of the paths and versions you need, and check that all pages of the relevant lists were read.
