How do I schedule work for an Agent?
The task must be created while authenticated as the Agent that will do the work. Tasks belong to the identity that creates them. Creating a task while signed in as yourself does not assign it to an Agent.
Ask the Agent to create the task under its own identity. Give it the instructions, schedule, and any source link it needs. The Agent must already have access to the resources needed for the work. Adding a link does not grant access or notify another person.
With the Tasks CLI installed and the intended identity active, this example schedules a check every 30 minutes:
socra task create "Check deployment health" --every 30m --description "Check health; report only meaningful changes."
Keep the task ID returned by the command. Use it in place of TASK_ID to inspect the saved instructions, schedule, and next run:
socra task get TASK_ID
Tasks records when work is due. Agent execution also depends on the Agent's permissions and availability, so the scheduled time is approximate. A due occurrence does not prove that the work started or finished.
For work you only want to track yourself, create the task under your human identity. It will remain private to that identity.
