# What happens when I cancel Workspace?

Workspace cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing cycle. Managed Agents stop being eligible to run at that boundary. Charges that are not covered by the cycle's credit are still settled through the end of that cycle.

Canceling does not remove charges already incurred. The cycle's unused credit expires at its end, and a future cycle's credit cannot be applied to its outstanding usage. Retained Agents continue to accrue base charges while the subscription remains active through the paid period.

Only an Account owner can manage the subscription. Workspace does not support immediate cancellation partway through the paid cycle.

1. Open [Admin](https://admin.socra.com) and confirm the intended Account.
2. Open **Billing → Subscriptions**.
3. Open the Workspace subscription and check its **Current period**.
4. Select **Cancel subscription**.
5. Review the confirmation, then select **Cancel subscription** again to save the change. Select **Keep current state** if you do not want to cancel.
6. Confirm that **Renewal** shows **Cancels** followed by the end date. The subscription can remain **Active** through the paid period.
7. Refresh the page and check **Renewal** again.

If an error appears or the cancellation date is absent, refresh before retrying. Do not assume that an attempted cancellation succeeded. Before the period ends, **Renew** lets you request continued renewal; check the resulting subscription state after confirming that change.

Subscription lapse does not automatically delete customer data. Access and recovery differ by app; cancellation does not guarantee continued editing, running, or an unlimited retention period. Download the material you need through each app's supported export or download path before losing access.

Canceling Workspace does not cancel your AI provider's subscription or stop separate Cloud charges. Review those services separately if your aim is to stop all spending. Deleting an Account or an Agent is a separate action with different data consequences.
