# How do I invite someone to my Account?

An Account owner can send an invitation from **Directory → People** in Admin. Choose the person's Account role before sending it. The person joins by opening the invitation and signing in with their Socra ID.

1. Open [Admin](https://admin.socra.com/) and check that the intended Account is selected.
2. Open **Directory → People**.
3. Select **Add member** and enter the person's email address.
4. Choose **Member**, **Admin**, or **Owner**.
5. Select **Send invitation**.

The invitation appears under **Pending**. After the person accepts, check **Members** for their entry and assigned role.

For an Account with Workspace billing, acceptance first uses an unoccupied paid human seat. If no paid seat is available, accepting the invitation charges the remaining part of the billing cycle and adds matching usage credit. Sending the invitation does not trigger that charge.

If seat payment prevents acceptance, the invitation stays pending. An owner must complete the payment in Admin Billing, then the recipient can accept the invitation again.

The invitation expires after seven days. If an address is wrong or the invitation is no longer needed, open the pending invitation and revoke it. Send a new invitation to the correct address when needed. If sending fails, correct the error and try again.

The person can use their existing personal Socra ID even when you invite a work email address. The link grants membership to the ID that completes sign-in through it. Ask the recipient to keep the link private.

An **Owner** can manage the Account and billing. **Admin** is for permitted directory and group management. **Member** is the usual role for someone joining to use products. Review the role before sending; an invitation does not require you to make the recipient an owner.
