# How do I switch Accounts?

Choose another Account from the product's Account or workspace menu. You must have an active membership in the destination Account. Your role can differ between Accounts, so the pages you can open may change.

## In Admin

1. Open [Admin](https://admin.socra.com/).
2. Open the workspace menu in the sidebar and select the destination Account.
3. Complete the sign-in prompt if one appears.
4. Check the Account name and handle in the menu before changing any settings.

Admin requests access for the selected Account. It keeps your current destination when your role permits it. If your role cannot open that page, Admin returns you to **Home**.

If the Account is missing, check which Socra ID is signed in. Then ask an owner of the destination Account to check your membership. Creating a new Account does not restore access to an existing one.

## In the CLI

With the Socra CLI and Account plugin installed, run:

socra account status
socra account switch ACCOUNT_HANDLE
socra account status
```

Replace `ACCOUNT_HANDLE` with the destination handle. In an interactive terminal, `socra account switch` without a handle prompts you to choose from your other memberships. Complete the browser prompt, then use `status` to confirm the Account and role.

Use `--profile PROFILE_NAME` when you need a particular saved person profile. Replace `PROFILE_NAME` with its saved name. Switching retains that profile's requested scopes unless you override them. A legacy profile with unknown scopes requires an explicit `--scopes` value. Agent profiles cannot use this person-Account switch command.
