# How do I reset my Socra ID password?

Choose **Forgot password?** after entering your Socra ID email address. We send a verification code to that address. Once you verify the code, you can set a new password without knowing the old one.

1. Start sign-in from the Socra product you want to use, or open [Socra ID settings](https://id.socra.com/user/).
2. Enter your ID email address and select **Continue**.
3. On **Enter your password**, select **Forgot password?**.
4. Check the email address shown on the verification screen. Enter the six-digit code sent there.
5. On **Set your password**, enter your new password and select **Continue**.

The email code expires after 10 minutes and permits five attempts. If the code expires or you exhaust its attempts, start a fresh sign-in attempt and request another reset.

If the email is missing, check spam or junk folders and confirm the address on the screen. The verification screen can appear even when an address has no matching ID, so it does not prove that a reset email was sent.

An ID without a password may go straight to email verification during sign-in. If you use a linked Google identity, you can also sign in through **Continue with Google**. Password reset cannot verify you if you no longer have access to the ID's email address.
