# How do I create a Socra ID?

Start from the Socra product you want to use and choose **Sign up** on the Socra ID sign-in page. You can create an ID with an email address or use **Continue with Google**. Use an address you control and expect to keep.

## Use an email address

1. Enter your email address under **Create your Socra ID**, then select **Continue**.
2. Open the verification email. Enter its six-digit code in **Verify your email**.
3. Set a password when prompted.
4. Complete **Set up your profile**, including your first name, last name, and birthday. Select **Continue**.

The code expires after 10 minutes. If it expires, begin a fresh sign-up attempt from the product.

If you see **Socra ID exists**, that address already belongs to an ID. Return to the first screen and choose **Sign in**. Use **Forgot password?** on the password screen if needed.

## Use Google

Select **Continue with Google** and choose the Google identity you want to use with Socra. Complete any profile details we request when Google returns you to the sign-in process.

After ID setup, a product may ask you to select or create an Account. An Account holds the organization's members and resources. Creating your personal ID does not join you to another person's Account; you need an invitation or existing membership.
