Throughput counts Issues whose latest move to **done** or **canceled** falls within the selected period. First-Pass Success (FPS) measures the share of closed Issues with complete history that were never reopened. Fab reads these records from Cortex.

An Issue is reopened when it moves from done or canceled back to open or in progress. If it closes again, Fab uses the latest close as its endpoint. An Issue that is still open at the report cutoff does not count as closed.

Canceled work counts toward throughput. The Data panel shows done and canceled counts separately, so you can see what produced the total. Closing an Issue records its status; it does not prove that someone accepted the work or that its checks passed.

If an Issue's retained history is incomplete, Fab shows its reopen history as unknown. Such Issues are excluded from the FPS calculation. For example, if ten Issues closed, two have unknown histories, and six of the other eight were never reopened, FPS is 75%.

Select **Data** to check the counts, period, and report cutoff before comparing results. Compare similar work over similar periods. A change in the size or kind of Issues can change the numbers without improving the work.
