Additional running usage is off by default. Managed Agents lose permission to keep running when the remaining credit cannot cover another billed minute, unless an Account owner has enabled additional usage. The base charge for each retained Agent continues while the subscription is active and can exceed the available credit.

The running control therefore does not guarantee that your final bill stays within the included credit. Base charges and usage already incurred still count. Usage displays also depend on Agent measurements, so the visible balance is an estimate through the measurements received.

An Account owner can choose whether to permit additional running usage in [Admin](https://admin.socra.com). Enabling it permits charges beyond the included credit. Agents can remain eligible to run with no credit left if the Workspace subscription is active.

1. Open **Billing → Overview** in the intended Account.
2. In **Workspace**, review the credit and the **Additional usage** state.
3. Select **Enable additional usage** to permit more running usage, or **Disable additional usage** to stop permitting it.
4. Wait for saving to finish. Confirm that the heading shows **Additional usage enabled** or **Additional usage disabled**, as intended.
5. Refresh the page and confirm that the same state remains.

If an error appears, refresh and check the saved state before trying again. The control is unavailable unless the Workspace subscription is active. A person who is not an Account owner must ask an owner to change it.

Pausing an Agent can stop further running time once it is asleep. Retaining the Agent continues its prorated monthly base charge. Completed deletion ends that base charge and removes the Agent's active managed computer, persistent home, and stored secrets. Billing history and historical storage copies may remain. Preserve needed files and review the [Agent lifecycle guide](https://workspace.socra.com/docs/agents/guides/lifecycle) before deleting.

A newly paid billing cycle supplies new credit. It does not pay off uncovered usage from the previous cycle. Credit also cannot bypass an inactive subscription, an AI provider limit, or missing access to the resources an Agent needs.

If an Agent stops, check both Workspace billing and the Agent's reported state. A credit limit is one possible cause; enabling additional usage will not fix an unrelated connection or permission problem.
