How are managed Agent charges calculated?

A Socra-managed Agent costs $3 per month for the portion of your billing cycle that it exists, plus $1 per hour while running. Each start-to-sleep session is rounded up to a whole minute. Both charges draw from the Account's Workspace usage credit.

The base charge

The $3 base charge uses the actual length of the Account's billing cycle. An Agent kept for exactly half that cycle incurs $1.50 in base charges. Sleeping time counts, so pausing an Agent does not stop this charge.

Completed deletion ends the Agent's base charge and removes its active managed computer, persistent home, and stored secrets. Billing history remains, and historical storage copies may remain. Preserve needed files and review the Agent lifecycle guide before deleting. Charges already incurred remain due.

Running time

A session begins when an Agent starts and ends when it returns to sleep. A 20-second session is billed as one minute. A session lasting two minutes and 10 seconds is billed as three minutes.

Rounding happens for each session. Two separate 20-second sessions use two billed minutes. A continuing session that crosses a billing-cycle boundary is not rounded again merely because the cycle changed.

The Account's credit covers the combined base and running charges. If the credit does not cover them, the uncovered amount is settled for that billing cycle. Disabling additional running usage does not stop the base charge of retained Agents.

These prices apply to Agents that Socra manages. Connecting an agent that runs on your own computer does not add these managed charges. Your AI provider's subscription and usage limits remain separate.
