Run `socra update` to check for a newer CLI and runtime, then update the installed product plugins. Keep the command's output so you can distinguish a completed update from a download, authentication, or package failure.

```sh
socra update
socra --version
socra --help
```

When the CLI itself changes, the update continues through the newly installed version. The version command confirms the CLI version; help confirms which product command groups can be loaded. These checks do not by themselves verify every remote product operation.

Plugin updates use Socra Pkg and the current Account session when one is available. If a package is unavailable from Pkg during an update, the CLI can retain its installed version and report that fact. Read that output before assuming every plugin changed.

If the service rejects authentication or access, resolve the Account session or permission problem. Updating does not grant new access. A timeout or server error also does not prove that your version is old.

After fixing a failure, first retry a harmless read or help command. If a command that changes remote data had an uncertain result, inspect that resource before repeating the change.
